PORTFOLIO
A selection of decorative and sculptural metalwork made over the past 25 years. This gallery includes some of our favorite wall art, sculpture and custom commissions.

ALUMINUM SHOE VASE
The patterns for this peculiar vase were traced from a real pair of shoes and cut out in metal. The shoe and sock were formed from sheet aluminum, hammered into shape and welded together. The welds were ground and hammered to match the surrounding texture.

COPPER TURTLE SCULPTURE
This hand-formed copper tortoise sculpture measures about 4 feet from nose to tail, and was made from a single sheet of copper. The metal was shaped using techniques like raising, sinking, repoussé and chasing. Pieces were TIG welded and joined to an internal steel armature.

CORAL DESIGN WALL ART
This abstract copper wall sculpture was formed from sheet metal using repousse and chasing techniques, commonly called raised relief or embossing. The design was shaped gradually by striking the metal with hammers and punches to push out depth and form.

HONEY BEE WALL SCULPTURE
This honey bee sculpture hangs slightly raised from the wall, allowing light to pass through the resin-filled honeycomb. The honeycomb measures 30 inches wide. The bee is hollow, built from formed and welded copper sheet, and can be removed from the honeycomb.

CORAL DESIGN WALL SCULPTURE
This abstract wall sculpture was hammered from copper sheet and measures 22 inches in diameter. The coral-inspired form was shaped with thousands of hammer and punch strikes, then finished with a deep brown patina and sealed with wax.

COPPER CATFISH SCULPTURE

An abstract owl is perched among architectural and natural forms, balancing an old-world feel with a contemporary look that remains open to interpretation. This metal wall sculpture has a timeless blend of classical and modern design influences.

A blooming flower sits at the center of this metal wall sculpture, framed by overlapping architectural forms. The flower’s curves echo the geometry behind it, unifying natural and manmade elements in a fluid composition.

This unique dripping metal sculpture was hand formed from flat copper sheet using only hammers, anvils and a torch. The dimensional shape was manually stretched into the metal through countless hammer strikes, creating a dynamic work of art that looks ready to melt away.

This abstract, dimensional wall sculpture has natural forms in an open-ended design that invites viewer interpretation. Geometric shapes interlock with stylized plant and animal motifs in a 3D relief, with a total depth from the wall of about 1½ inches.

This abstract piece of copper wall art has a heavily weathered, colorful patina of browns, reds, greens and blues. This piece fits well in contemporary, modern settings or anywhere that could use a splash of color.

Organic, botanical forms merge with layered architectural shapes in this one-of-a-kind metal wall sculpture. Hand-formed from a single sheet of copper, the raised relief was pushed directly into the metal, leaving a surface patterned with the impressions of the forming process.

This metal wall art has a unique, heavily weathered surface created through an accelerated natural oxidation processes. The organic colors work beautifully in contemporary spaces and with natural materials like wood and stone.
